Physical scientist
Diane Lee is a physical scientist in the NIST Office of Weights and Measures. Lee participates on national and international technical committees for measuring devices and develops requirements, test procedures, and training materials for measuring devices to promote fair transactions in the U.S. commercial market. Lee co-chairs a committee in the Columbia, Maryland, alumnae chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Inc., which, among other activities, encourages middle-school students to explore STEM careers through participation in outreach activities and an annual science fair.
