Rick Kerkstra is vice president of Burton Precision, a Grand Rapids, Michigan–based machine tool distributor specializing in metrology and 3D printing products. Kerkstra’s reverse engineering company joined Burton Precision in 2006. Prior to this Kerkstra was a quality assurance manager, a plastic injection mold designer, and a milling machine operator, and he has a degree in applied electronics. Burton Precision provides 3D systems printer sales, service, and supplies; Geomagic software; 3D prototype services; Renishaw probing systems; KREON laser scanners and portable measuring arms; reverse engineering services; coordinate measuring machines; contract measuring services, part sorting, and video inspection systems.
